Paper Street Pictures team at Fantastic Fest

Our Team

Horror with Heart

Founded in 2012 by Aaron B. Koontz, Paper Street Pictures is a boutique film and television production studio that set out to make the kind of genre films he wanted to see — ones that challenge the norm, that are weird and/or have a unique vision, and are brought to life with people we like working with. And 15 years on, that's still the idea.

We develop, produce, and deliver horror, sci-fi, and genre-adjacent features and series. Paper Street's feature films have premiered at hundreds of prestigious festivals, played in thousands of theaters and landed on major streamers like Netflix, Hulu & Peacock. But most importantly we are building a brand and an audience that keeps evolving and growing. We're always looking for the next ambitious swing to take… and the right people to take it with.

After Chris was arrested and went viral for jumping off a bridge onto a moving train for a sick YouTube video, the self-proclaimed Movie Making Adrenaline Junkie put his talents to good use producing horror films. His third outing, What Keeps You Alive, netted a spot on Rolling Stone's 'Top 10 Horror movies of 2018'. When Chris isn't hanging off a bridge for a thrill, he is planning world domination… one movie at a time.
